Photographer Lalage Snow spent eight months putting together a series of photographic juxtapositions chronicling the journey of British soldiers before, during, and after deployment in Afghanistan. These haunting images tell us of the great physical and mental hardships soldiers endure, even after they come home. With so many veterans feeling unheard on their return, Snow shares that this “is an attempt at giving these brave young men and women a chance to speak.”

Don’t stereotype people and realize that everyone has their story. Treat people the way you want to be treated and remember that you may not be the only one hurting. Love the people can and respect that you can’t get along with everyone but that doesn’t mean you have to be cruel.
